Volunteering is a great way of developing new skills, increasing confidence and giving back to others which is one of the simple ways of looking after our own mental health and well being.

Footprints volunteers choose an activity they can help at. Footprints provide training, supervision and references for when you apply for paid work. As part of the team, volunteers also get invited to our Christmas Dinner and away days. We are always looking for volunteers, pop in and chat to Annora or Mandy.

We also work with people who want to start their own group up as long as it fits within our overall aim of caring for Buttershaw. If you want to lead other people into health or positive activities then we would love to work with you. Speak to Will for more information.

Some people have particular skills that are very useful to charities and we welcome new Trustees. Becoming a director of a company (or trustee of a charity) is a big undertaking and we ask people are familiar with what is expected of trustees first. Here is a really useful guide from the Charity Commission.
